Makeup Artist

Somica Renee currently resides in Birmingham, AL as an independent beauty & special effects makeup artist. She has been working professionally for 8 years and is now freelancing again for MAC cosmetics. Her training includes Toxic Image Studios, Racheal Morgan (film production), James Ryder, & The Aveda Institute and she even does a little bit of modeling. You could say her style is very sleek, dark, alternative & edgy. She is interested doing pinup, boudior, retro, steampunk, dark/gothic couture, special effects horror inspired type of projects, but she is NOT LIMITED TO THAT. Somica Renee is available for weddings, runway, photoshoots & film/tv work. And will do TF assignments for the right concepts. Viette Smith
Makeup Artist

Ms. Viette Smith is a 29-year-old native of Washington, DC who was first introduced to the Beauty Industry as a noted Full Figured Model traveling across the United States for the fashion tour called “Stilettos & Curves”. It was then that she realized her passion for being behind the scenes, and her love for makeup developed. She attended Bennett Career Institute in Washington, DC for Makeup Artistry.

Viette is currently working as a Freelance Makeup Artist (VeeSmithMakeup). Viette’s most recent accomplishment was being selected to accompany Mrs. Maryland 2011-2012 as her lead Makeup Artist/Stylist for the 2011 Miss United States Pageant in Las Vegas, NV.

I've played with the camera since I was young. Landscapes, macro,
self-portraits, nothing escaped my lens. It wasn't until I was
graduating High School, posing for Senior photos, did I realize I wanted
to model. It hit me like a ton of bricks and I've been unconscious in my
own creativity ever since. After loosing my job in August of 2011, I decided it was time to take the leap of faith. With the addition of my
own website and my new career as a freelance makeup artist, the world
has never been so colorful (literally). So, when I was approached to be a part of the Sugar crew as a makeup
artist and runway model, I just couldn't say no. Can't wait to work with

My name is Shannelle Burke of Give Me Beauty: Makeup Artistry. I am a freelance makeup artist in the Atlanta area. Me being a city girl from New York, I draw a lot of my style and inspiration from the city streets and fashion editorials which I then transform into diverse looks to call my own. At a very young age i began to play around with hair. I did not realize twenty plus years later i would still love it. My name is Jamilah M. Walker. I am originally from Birmingham, Alabama. I currently reside in Atlanta, Georgia where i am the owner of Le Tapis Rouge Salon, a freelance hairstylist and make up artist. My ultimate goal is to be a daymaker, transform, and create beauty in every person i touch.

Some of my accomplishments are several hair shows, many photo shoots, and video shoots. I am a hairstylust for Miss Latin USA and Miss Latin of the World Pagents held in the Latin countries.

D. Shawnice is a rising freelance hair and make-up artist for print, video, commercial , and runway. Hair and make-up is not only her craft, but it is A passion, its what she eats sleeps and breathes. At a very young age Shawnice was intrigued by watching her mother transform clients with a style and just a few hours of great service.

Shawnice has prior experience with being a stylists assistant at a very demanding, fast-paced salon. Also attending Paul Mitchell The School,and attending many training classes. As she furthered her education she realized both experiences have exposed her to both creative and practical aspects of the hair industry. Shawnice has done several runway shows such as the Miami International Fashion week and extensive print work. Those experiences have allowed for her to be a step ahead of the competition.

Shawnice is constantly researching, studying, practicing her craft in new innovations in hair and make-up. She can adapt to create a final result best suited for the client; whether it be a bride on her big day, someone desiring a beautiful natural look, or partnering with a photographer that wants unparalleled results for a model looking for an edgy different feel for their portfolio.

Laura Neal
Hair Stylist

Laura Neal graduated from the Paul Mitchell school of Birmingham, Al in June of 2009. She was born and raised in Birmingham and knows all too well the meaning of "southern belle". She enjoys mixing high fashion with a southern flair. Laura, even before attending hair school, was involved in the hair industry. She was an assistant at a L'Oreal Professionel salon while she was in high school. That experience prompted her to pursue a career in hairstyling. She LOVES all aspects of hair coloring, and is always ready to try something new. She definitely feels that each new client is a blank canvas for her to "paint". Laura has always been very artistic. In high school she focused on art where she drew, painted, sculpted, and was even a member of her photography club. Photography is still one of her favorite hobbies. Her dream is to one day work in the photography industry not only as a hairstylist but as a photographer.
