My name is Laya Portillos and I am originally from Colorado. I began my acting and modeling career shortly after college when I decided that Colorado was no longer big enough for me. After graduating with a degree in Journalism I quickly determined that was not the path for me, so I packed up all my things and headed to sunny California two short months after graduation.
With a fresh perspective and determined attitude I quickly found out Los Angeles isn't an easy shell to crack, and that the industry isn't as glamorous as it is on t.v.
Being here I have had the opportunity to be in many fashion shows, various indie movies and a few spec commercials.
I still believe with a positive attitude I can still make all my dreams come true, my best years are still ahead of me.....it's never too late!

My name is Emily Bogner and I am 17 years old. My passion ini fashion, modeling, photography, and art. People have always told that I can't do exactly what I want to do because I am dyslexia. I know this isn't the case because I know what I am cable of doing and that I can pursue anything I want. Modeling is one thing in my life that truly makes me happy. I love feelingsI get from doing it, the fashion I get to see, and the wonderful people I get to meet. I currently am seeking for an agency because I believe I have reached the next level of modeling. I have found everything that I have done related to modeling completely on my way. I tried to relay on people, but I realized that never worked and it makes me proud of all the runway show and photo shoots I have done. Modeling is my dream and I will do whatever next step it takes to get me to that higher level.
I am Kierra Santiago, 19 years old, college student, with a great personality. I am very outgoing, I love being in front of the camera, and modeling is my passion. I'm a very positive, high spirited person who enjoys working with and meeting new people.

Hello Sugar Art Fans!! My name is Jennaly Aguilar but most know me as Nelly. I'm 19 years old trying to become a memory to the world. All my life I wanted to become a famous model and I've done some things to try and get myself known. I've done runways, pageants, background in movies and shows, etc. but as we all know its not that easy. I've always been the tall skinny girl in my group of friends so I always felt like an outcast. Modeling is something that I love, something I fit in, and something I want to do for as long as i can. My personality is spontaneous. I love to have fun and try new things, my motto is "Why be afraid to try something new when you only have one chance to do it?" In other words you only live once, so live it up!
My name is Hamaliya and I was born in Afghanistan. Family came to America and raised me here. I am Afghan-American. I go to Cal-State Northridge and currently a Biology major. I am working on becoming an OBGYN, Obstetrician/Gynocologist. I also love to help people so after finished Medical School and accomplishing my career goal, I am going to open up a clinic for families who cant afford health-care and need medical attention. I will be providing free help. Along with that I love modeling so when I become more well-known in the industry start earning more money, I am going to also help people that way by providing food and shelter to families in rural areas of the world that are unfortunate.

My name is JanessaDanyelle; yes I have two first names legally ^_^. I said if I ever did anything in the entertainment or owned any form of business I would use both names to pay homage to both of my parents since each wanted me to be name something different!
I am 24 years young, a graduate of UC Santa Cruz with a Bachelor’s in Psychology and currently work full time for 2 in a half years as a Service Administrator and Accountant. Modeling has been a long time to dream of mine I wanted to be a model because I wanted to be like the girls I saw in the magazines I subscribed to, my older cousin (Jharmel whom I looked up too) was a model, and I wanted my own clothing line. I thought it would be great to model my own clothing! I finally decided to give modeling a try once I learned to drive at 21 and I love everything about it although the best part about being a model to me is all the wonderful people I get to met along the way. ^_^
Although I am 5’5 I have been able to do things that many said I would not be able to do/due to my height. I have done print, and have been featured in two magazines and in LA Weekly, I have done countless runway/fashion shows, I have been a hostess for the Fashion Group International of Los Angeles Inc., I been a guest host and interviewee on Everybody Radio, a demo model, a casting director for other fashion shows, and most recently I will be doing my first published editorial piece for African Fashion Guide. I defiantly have a passion for fashion ^_^ and I do not want to limit myself or my abilities; “I am as multifaceted as your textbooks”. I want to be able to say I can have done it all! I will not let my lack of natural height be a determining factor for me. I want to use fashion to touch people’s lives.
I am a freelance model but I am currently seeking representation for both modeling and acting. So if you are an agent or agency I’d love to meet you for an interview ^_^. I have accomplished more then I would have thought I would since my first shoot but there is soooo much more I want to accomplish. My journey is nowhere near over it is just the beginning and I hope that this journey takes me all the way to Paris; “VOGUE PARIS” to be exact!
MY MAIN OBJECTIVE IN LIFE IS TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE; I want to touch people’s lives in a positive manner, my life would not be complete without helping others!

Born in Pasadena, California, Nickii was told many times as a child that she should model, but she did not have the resources or her mother’s approval due to strict religious beliefs. Since her mother’s passing, Nickii has pursued her modeling career with fervor, determination, and that very special blessing.
Since 2008, Nickii has walked the runway for Ed Hardy, David Kahn, Bongo Republic, BLOW, Rich Scampi, Jay Stone, Lucy Bea, Skimwear, Raw Appeal, Lilly Blue and Malachi, amongst many others. One of Nickii’s brightest moments was in 2011 when she lit up the runway during LA Fashion Week for Forever 21.
Nickii has been published in Elm Magazine, graced the cover of Live in Happiness Magazine, and worked campaigns for Disphunktional Clothing. She has also appeared in Look Books for Michael Kluch, Sophistifunk Clothing, Eschenee Swimwear, and Fuxwitme Apparel. Nickii is also the new spokes model for Fat X 101 Fitness. She can be seen in Fat X 101 fitness videos and modeling their new clothing line in the near future.
With a portfolio that is quickly expanding, Nickii is emerging as one of the most talented models of her generation and one of the freshest faces of today. However, this model is not just beauty; she is also actively involved in her community and a motivational speaker. Annually, Nickii participates in the Cancer Walk for the City of Pasadena in honor of her mother, and she is the Founder and Creator of the “Model in the Making” Mentoring Program for local youth.

Melodye Joy began her journey as a model at 16, but she didn't know that at the time. Upon a birthday surprise of having glamor shots made, the photographer and stylist mentioned how photogenic she was. What a kind complement!
She and her mother shrugged it off and went about their day...
Fast forward to 2007, and Melodye had moved to the Los Angeles area.
Struggling to find something to fill her days not at the retail shop she worked in, a friend suggested modeling. At 5'2" and less then 100 pounds wet, Melodye just rolled her eyes and laughed off her friends out of this world suggestion.
Who would want to have a petite model, with freckles and split front teeth?
Apparently quite a few designers and photographers dared to take on this skinny minnie.
Having worked with the likes of local and national designers, photographers and more the only way from here is UP.
It is now 2012 and to this day she is constantly changing, learning and finding her way in this business of modeling. "

Hannah Bernstein is a twenty-two year old model native to Los Angeles. She is of Polish, Russian and Israeli descent. She has long had the eye for fashion and the love for modeling; she was inspired as a young child by the great supermodels from the likes of Claudia Schiffer, Kate Moss and Helena Christensen. Yet, she was equally moved by the legendary designers of her day such as Gianni Versace, Marc Jacobs, Tom Ford, and Coco Chanel. She has also a passion for makeup, and she is currently earning her cosmetology license at Santa Monica College.
She was first able to materialize her lifelong dream of modeling when she had the opportunity to walk the runway and shoot for the "I Love Fashion" Boutique.
She learned so much from that experience, and she was hooked from that day forward. It was also at this time that her profile as a model began to blossom, and she started working with many up-and-coming and veteran photographers. She enjoys a variety of shoots from high-fashion to commercial to music videos to swimwear; she is willing to try new things that she finds creatively rewarding and work as hard as she can for her clients on any job! For Hannah, modeling is a passion for her that she takes seriously as she desires a career in the industry as well, but she also knows how to have fun on-set because she enjoys being able to express herself in front of the camera more than anything else.

Mauve here, born and raised in the beautiful Philippines, and moved to Las Vegas about 4 years ago. I've been modeling for 2 years, mostly with concept photography, although my love is doing runway and photoshoots - going as far as directing and assisting shows, and helping beginner models get their foot through the door. Modeling has been my passion from as long as I can remember, and I am thrilled to be able to share my experiences with others, and to help them grow along with me.
I prefer to be a busy body: I am currently doing Communications and Paralegal studies locally, I play most sports, sing, dance, play the piano, and I love to bake! Plenty have praised my efforts to produce 110% with everything I do. Life has been great to me, and I enjoy every minute of it.

BIO: Hey everyone, my name is Haley Thompson, I reside in the Los Angeles area, and 20 years old. I came to Los Angeles two years ago to pursue my dream to be apart of the modeling/fashion industry. I went to the Art Institute for Fashion Marketing and Management, but modeling has always been my true passion. I've gotten the opportunity to work
with a lot of fun, and amazing people since I've lived here and have gotten the experiences I've been longing for. But that doesn't mean I don't want more! Growing up in a small town
is what made me the person I am today. Because I was never accepted in my home town. I was another case of the "awkwardly tall, skinny girl", So being apart of the modeling
world, I finally felt more accepted then ever! This is what I live for, and couldn't be happier with my dream I'm pursuing!
Bersabel Tammerat is a twenty year old, Ethiopian model born and raided in Los Angeles. During this time she is in her third year of school majoring in Communications and a minor in Theatre. Since the age of five Bersabel has had an eye for being in front of a camera or on stage; she was inspired as a young child by the great supermodels from the likes of Tyra Banks, Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell and Lydia Kebede. Yet, she was equally moved by the legendary designers of her day such as Gianni Versace, Marc Jacobs, Tom Ford, and Coco Chanel. Though this has been her passion, she has struggled with hight issues in the industry. Being only 5'3 she has luckily been blessed to be apart of numerous runway shows walking with stunning models whom range from 5'7 and above. She was first able to live out her dream of modeling at eighteen years old, when she had the opportunity to walk the runway during LA Fashion week for JGold (Jenyimah Gould). She learned so much from that experience, and since then she and her portfolio began to grow. She started working with amazing designers, production teams, photographers, artists, as well as Hair and MUA. From high-fashion to commercial to music videos to behind the camera work; she has studied and truly has a love and understanding of this industry. Her spontaneity gives her willingness to try new things and work hard on anything that she finds creatively rewarding. For Bersabel, modeling is a passion that she takes very seriously as she desires a career in the industry, but she also knows how to lighten up the mood with a smile and some entertainment on set. Her favorite part of being in front of the camera is the story her eyes tell within herself even through the character she is portraying in the moment even in a still photo.
Angelene is a jack of all trades. She is an actor, singer, and artist born and raised in Los Angeles. Creativity is her passion and strives everyday to express herself whether it be on canvas, on film, or through fashion. She is currently studying design and hopes to go to a fancy art school one day and work for Pixar down the road. For now, she is pursuing a career in film and working on recoding her own album. Also, she hopes to become a philanthropist and advocate for art education in public schools. “Art is universal and I would love nothing more to share my experiences with the world. I will never give up on this life journey to connect to people through art. I am so grateful for the opportunity to be a part of Mad Girl Productions and this awesome Sugar Show!”

After my first photo-shoot with Bryan Blue and Jeremy Biggers of UnkommonKolor (http://unkommonkolor.blogspot.com/2008/05/guess-what-another-hand-painted-shoot.html ), I joined Models Of Style Exposed (mose), and walked in runway shows for El Camino College, Chiffon Collection (http://www.chiffoncollection.com), and BLAZE THE STAGE 2012: Venice Beach, CA 'Spring Invitational Classic' .
Through modeling, I'm able to physically express my strengths. It's something I truly love to do and I enjoy every bit of it. Besides college, I'm pursuing it as a career.
Thanks to everyone who has contributed their time and talent towards developing me into a professional commercial print model.
