My name is Melissa Swartz, I am a very passionate Makeup Artist.  My admiration and growing passion for makeup started when I saw a MUA working at one of my jobs where they always had one on staff; I fell in love with it immediately, I was fascinated with the transformation of the models and at that moment I thought to my self that someday that MUA was going to be me.  I studied Skin Care and Makeup Artistry; however, I can say that when it comes to makeup I have learned 70% of what I know on my own.  I love makeup for so many reasons, I am a very creative individual and it is nice to find a way to express yourself artistically, I love seeing the transformation of a person to where everything about them changes specially their confidence and outlook on themselves, I enjoy doing positive things for others and like to be able to either help or teach someone something they did not feel very confident or comfortable doing before,  and finally I love that in this profession there is constant grow and learning thanks to lead professionals, science, and product development.I feel very fortunate and blessed with the talent I have been given and it is my goal as a professional MUA to show others that there is a beautiful confident person inside all of us waiting to come out and shine.Lets create something beautiful!

Alex attended Paul Mitchell at the age of seventeen graduating as creative master of student council and top of her class. "Passion, ambition and determination are my top qualities." Alex has now been doing hair for four years and counting.

Makeup to me is an art within itself. For the past three years I've been playing with makeup creating different colorful look.I started by watching YouTube videos and practicing on myself, My first makeup pallet was a 120 beauties factory with a 24 pieces brush set. Day after day I practice until I got the look right then posted it on FB to get my friends opinion. Many family members and friends told me "Lissette you better put that talent to use." But being me I wasn't ready to put myself out there. Finally in 2011 I decided to look for different schools and I ended up going to the Academy of Glam, where I have the privilege to learn many more techniques from star artist such as Victoria Duke, Cliff Turner, Taryll Atkins, and many more.I love to challenge myself, I feel being a makeup artist challenges you to create looks and help build confidence.
