Track 1 : WeHo -- "Easy Kill"

Picture
WeHo is a fashion forward, zombie obsessed, art infused, dance worthy take on the synth pop scene. The producer/performing artist has been compared to a number of musical influences, ranging from Metric to Gwen Stefani, La Roux, and Lady Gaga. Lyrically she brings both vulnerability and charged confidence, that is always honest, fun, and at times controversial.
In the fall of 2011, WeHo hadn’t even made an official debut yet, when her song ‘Addict’ was chosen to be featured in a video for Aussie clothing brand Milk & Honey’s winter collection designed by Ruby Rose (Australian MTV VJ / DJ). Since then, the artist has been hard at work in the studio preparing her first album titled ‘Easy Kill’. The album is set to launch early this fall (2012), with tour plans for the U.S. and Europe in the spring and summer of 2013.
This year has been a good one for WeHo. She was nominated as a top 10 finalist in the HYPE Artist showcase. She is becoming a known face in the art and fashion scene in Miami. And she is currently working with the PACE University Commercial Dance department to take her live show to a new level. You can also expect to see a number of collaborations with other talented artists very soon.

*Free demo downloads are currently available to WeHo fans on facebook, soundcloud, and reverbnation for a limited time until the fully mastered album is released (LIKE www.facebook.com/wehoaddict).

Track 6 : Tiko Pink -- "Here Comes the Rain"

Picture
The music game is ready for a new tune, and that tune belongs to the voice of TikoPink. Hailing from the prestigious Prince George County, Tokiko has sang for the likes of Entertainment pioneer P. Diddy upon being one of 21 girls to enter his house for MTV's 2005 hit show Making the Band, California is also host to TikoPink first solo performance at the Blues Bar in which she gave an astonishing new meaning to Etta James classic "The good, the bad, the hurt."

TikoPink's solo debut project, which is currently in the works, lends an ear to people who are seeking a distinguished sound from the ordinary, a sound combining the genres of experimental, dubb step, lounge and alternative and wich she expresses her music as "Ethnic Pop".~Arriving on the cusp of the galactic alignment… And just when all hope was gone came a phenomenon called TikoPink. Unleashed from the confines of deep space she is here to save mankind with brilliant melodies that rejuvenates mankind's consciousness to higher levels of ecstasy. Her ethereal world vocals combined with a raspy overtone will save mankind from their monotone and mundane elements. She is Tiko… She is Pink… She is light. Here to save us all.Her journey has been experimentally engaging, but a fearless stride. With her vibrant music and futuristic play on words, TikoPink spreads joy and love through her messages… Taught by the stars and raised by the Universe.

Track 9 : Kia Hamm -- "Queen"

Picture
Growing up in Philadelphia places Kia Hamm at the helm of many of the industry's Musical Legends. Artists like Patti La Belle, Boyz ll Men & Jill Scott have all raised the bar of expectation for talent hailing from the City of Brotherly Love.  Kia Hamm is no exception to this standard as she delivers skillfully on talent alone. That's why it's no accident that she became a much sought after performer/vocalist. After a move to the West Coast, fans would line up to catch her performing with various groups around LA at places such as the Temple Bar in Santa Monica and the Sunset Room in Hollywood, and in Orange County adding her sultry vocals to locally based Classic Rock band AlterEgo. After a stellar performance at the LA Songwriters Network Showcase, Kia set her sights on a solo career and recorded solo works with fellow Philadelphian producer and songwriter LaRombé of Lovelyte Productions. The result is a CD full of heart soul, and sensuality- a sound the producer penned the "PHIL-LA Flava". Also be on the lookout/listen for new tunes with Atlanta based singer/songwriter Reggie "K Son" Cason (groovesback.com). Kia's Fans will be glad to know that she is hard at work stepping up her solo career and her sound with appearances on the east and west coasts, as well as abroad.  Kia's sound is the perfect gem for those seeking a refreshing change in the industry. Track 2 : Angelina Lavo -- "Fall in Love (Tonight)"

Picture

"Singer, songwriter and entertainer - Angelina Lavo arrived in New York City from Russia in 2009 to share her story. From childhood Angelina's grandmother encouraged her to learn piano and sing.Angelina's inevitable journey into the world of dance music started with her early collaborations in urban cross-over music. Working with Grammy-award winning music producer Sidney “Omen” Brown, Angelina Lavo helped develop her first single and internet music video, "Circus Act."

"Circus Act" captured well over half a million views on Youtube, the success of which led to her collaboration with the recording artist Twista. Her follow-up song, "Cotton Candy, featuring Twista" allowed Angelina to appreciate different musical genres and to memorialize her early experiences with her EP, Risqué.

Following Risqué, Angelina has made bold decisions in terms of her art and creativity. Through her live shows at exclusive New York venues, Angelina Lavo rekindled her true love for dance and club music. The opportunity to perform at heavily publicized fashion events for leading design houses inspired her to incorporate what she had developed from her early work and apply the same refined energy to the world of dance music. Angelina's return to the studio was, in her own words, "a chance to make a soundtrack for her fans for when they hit the dance floor." Her inevitable collaboration with multi-platinum dance producer, Lu Diaz, sparked "studio magic" with her up-and-coming single, "Fall In Love (Tonight)." Today we introduce, you to Angelina Lavo - electronic dance artist, performer and songwriter."

Track 4 : LMC -- "TVLK DVRTY"

Picture
LMC . Swagatha Christie. Wicked Witch of the West. Rap Game Janis Joplin.

She is a gypsy of the land. She grew up in a small town in Idaho and spent her younger years traveling/ living in a 60’s Dodge van in Baja Mexico with her family. She was home schooled until 6th grade, and dropped out half way thru to travel to Africa, Italy , Greece, England and France, living out of hostels and cooking food off of a single burner campmor stove.

She started rapping in 2008 when she lived in Mammoth Lakes California in a double wide trailer with a group of aspiring rappers and producers/ skateboarders. Their days consisted of skating, drinking beer and rapping. One of LMC’s biggest fears was stage fright so she avoided taking the game seriously. In 2010 LMC dropped out of college while studying photography and started learning how to write songs and pursuing her rap career because she couldn’t see herself doing anything else.

Since then she has released 2 albums and 1 mixtape, all executive produced/ written by her and single handedly organized her own tours. In the past 2 years she has emerged on the scene as a rapper, singer, manager,  producer,  event coordinator, director, stylist  and videographer for her own music videos. She continues to develop as a tastemaker in the rap world.

LMC has no mercy.

Track 8 : Maryam Zadeh "Love Storm"

Picture
Maryam Zadeh is an 80's Synthpop Artist best known as the front singer from the 80's Hi Energy Band TAPPS which produced such hits like My Forbidden Lover and Burning With Fire. Although not the original member, Maryam has brought her own vocal style and image to complement the band.

In 2003, Maryam Zadeh became passionate about reviving the sounds and musical styles of the 80s which lead her to Alan Coelho producer and original founding member of TAPPS. After collaborating on some experimental tracks in the studio, Alan Coelho liked her vocals and asked her to become the new lead singer for the band. This gave Maryam Zadeh and opportunity to connect with the fans from the 80's as well as the new generation that love 80's music. In addition, she discovered that there was still a strong demand for 80s music after 20 years which inspired her even more to continue and find producers that could help her develop music that was authentic to the 80's.

This lead her to reach out to other prominent names in the music industry that had hits in the 80's like Spandau Ballet's producer Richard James Burgess , Martin Fry of ABC and Psychedelic Furs guitarist John Ashton. Due to already prior commitments with their other projects, she was unable to connect with any of them and decided to put that on hold and form a band called Arcadia One in 2007. With the tracks produced by Alan Coelho like He's Such A Pretender and TAPPS songs, Arcadia One performed at many clubs in Los Angeles and opened up for high profile names like The Flock Of Seagulls and Stacey Q. Although it was a short lived project, it did make an impact on the Los Angeles music scene. During this time, she also had the great opportunity to perform as back up vocalist for Trans-X who had the smash hit Living On Video.

In 2011, Maryam Zadeh decided to continue her pursuit of her dream of reviving the sounds of the 80's and connected with producer Jose Jimenez of J-Vibe Productions who was very important in the 80s underground dance scene. In January 2012, a compilation of 80s inspired dance tracks which include Love Storm and remake of My Forbidden Lover, were released on the CD entitled The New 80's Wave on Itunes. Presently, she is working in the studio with producer Jose Jimenez on a remake of Spandau Ballet's 1980 hit Too Cut A Long Story Short along with other tracks that will have an influence of Italo Disco and New Romantic style from the era she so much loves....The 80's.
